Project Title/s: PW 168839 Roof Guardrail Installation
As per WCB BC Regulations for fall protection installation of guardrails around the perimeter of the roof edges are required as there are unguarded edges on the main, lower and mechanical penthouse roofs. As the upper and lower roof areas are flat or low slope, installing guardrails would meet the WCB requirements. Roof access is mandatory as maintenance is required on the roof drains, lighting fixtures, mechanical penthouse equipment, antenna and roof element reviews (flashings, membranes, etc.).
Description of Services:
The consultant’s scope of services shall include, but not be limited to, the following list of services:

Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:
PW 168839 – The Consultant is to provide full professional services as per Appendix A to ensure full compliance with latest Fall Protection Regulations.
- Consultant to refer to RJC report dated Jan 9, 2013.
- Consultant to refer to User Requirements for updated Scope of Work and to develop tender documents.
- Existing drawings when available will be in PDF format only. CADD drawings may not be available. Consultant to verify existing site condition/dimensions and provide updated drawings in relation to scope of work. Upon award, Site visit will be required to assess existing site condition/provisions and verify existing site dimensions and quantity as affected by scope.
- Consultant to propose design solutions & include in Investigation & Report (I&R) and Tender Specs ways to minimize impact on tenants for occupied building, eg. phasing of the work, identify any long lead time material requirements, after hours work requirement for noise, dust, flame, odour related work including any work with impact on base building system, among others.
-SNCL O&M has the right to award each project separately or stop project at certain phase of project development depending on availability of funding obtained per project.
-SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED (Reliability Status under PWGSC portfolio) to be obtained by Consultants' & Sub consultant’s staff prior to award. Contact SNCL O&M Security Clearance Coordinator to request for security forms for un-cleared staff.
