Work of this Contract comprises additional of control sensors on second and third floors, and revisions to air handler programming as identified in Tender Documents

SDS Initiatives. Presently AHU-3 runs 24/7 for 365 days a year, however there are only two small rooms in the zones served by AHU-3 that are actually occupied 24/7. Considerable energy is consumed by AHU-3 for zones which are unoccupied more often than occupied each year. AHU 5 serves the 2nd floor of the center wing. This area is also only occupied from 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. It is left running 24/7 because of the drug investigation unit and emergency response unit located on this floor. An occupancy sensor in the hall with a 2 hour timer connected to the DDC can provide an occupancy override function to start the AHU after hours if the area becomes occupied.
