Description

Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:
Project Definition:

Install demountable wall by Johnson Street Stairwell; required supply and install approximately 25ft. of demountable wall. Review Tender plans & specifications issued in MERX.

Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:

Contractor to supply approximately 25 ft. of demountable wall
Contractor to install demountable wall to match existing
Contractor will be responsible for disposing of unused materials, provide proof of disposal and attach copy in close out binders
Contractor will be responsible for all construction permits (as required)

Contractor to conduct own site measurements, verify, document and take photos of existing site conditions prior to construction. Contractor to make good all areas disturbed by construction.
Requirements to complete the sprinkler work associated with this project (after hours work).

The mechanical contractor will be responsible to contract a licensed fire life safety company to manipulate the fire panel so that the sprinkler mechanic can complete piping changes. This requires system password identification and monitoring center contact information – the system is not proprietary however Simplex Grinnell is the current service provider for this location and would be the recommended contractor to use.
It is also mandatory that while the sprinkler system is off line that a commissionaire be on site completing fire watch rounds – this is in addition to any other commissionaire/s required as an escort for the sprinkler mechanic. Contractor to include this request in the detailed Schedule. Commissionaire escort will be provided by Client and is excluded from GC’s bid/pricing.

SITE ISSUE/CONSIDERATIONS:
Awarded Contractor is to keep the downtime of affected area to an absolute minimum. Required materials should be either on-site or in the contractor's possession before any physical work commences. The contractor will be required to protect all interior surfaces of the building during the project and a full cleanup will be done at the end of each work shift. Awarded Contractor to make good all areas affected by construction.

Bidders have to have a clear understanding of existing site condition prior to submitting a bid. The Consultant will distribute Site attendance sheet for GC’s signatures at the site visit. GCs to ensure they sign Site attendance sheet prior to leaving the site.
